Charlie house is the fifth Keepsake Kottage Home, opening August 15th of 2022. Keepsake Kottage opened with one house back in 2012 and since then, Kari Cameron has grown her team and maintained her reputation by always providing excellent care in comfortable homeplus environments. Keepsake Kottage’s desire is to promote dignity, and professional care to every loved one. Keepsake exists to provide long term solutions to your care-giving needs. Our mission is to provide exceptional and compassionate care for your loved one.
Charlie house is located at 1678 N Charles in Wichita, Kansas. It is nestled in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in Indian Hills. This seven bedroom home is newly renovated and redecorated. The dining room has a table big enough to seat all eight residents comfortably. The fireplace behind the table allows for a warm environment during meals and activities. Attached to the dining room is a beautifully remodeled kitchen that has new cabinets and countertops. This kitchen provides plenty of space for three home cooked meals to be prepared daily along with desserts and snacks.
The spacious back patio is the perfect space to enjoy the outdoors and the sunshine. We are thrilled to be able to utilize this space for outdoor meals and activities. There is a ramp to the back yard so that everyone can enjoy being outside and socializing, whether that be an ice cream social, barbeque, or conversation with friends and family. We encourage and love when family visits, all are welcome to make Keepsake Kottage Charlie House apart of their own home.
The cozy living room provides a wonderful place to rest and enjoy company with others. Every piece of furniture and decoration in Charlie house is brand new, ensuring the best quality for our residents. Each recliner has a blanket and a pillow for a warm and cozy experience while watching movies, socializing, or bird watching. Our desire is that every resident will maintain the highest level of comfort while still getting to enjoy their favorite daily activities.
We encourage every resident and family to decorate their room to their liking full of keepsakes, pictures of family and friends, and anything that provides a sense of comfort and a homelike touch. We understand that sometimes moving can be a big change, but the Keepsake Krew wants provide a safe, and comfortable environment by any means necessary to ensure that our residents feel at home.
Each closet has built in dresser drawers and shelves, along with space for clothes to hang up. Keepsake Kottage will provide a bed, nightstand, and lamp in every room if desired by family and resident, otherwise everyone is free to bring their own bedroom furniture. Keepsake also has a stock of toiletries if necessary for residents in the home.
The bathrooms have shower chairs, as well as privacy curtains. We have a wheelchair accessible sink in the bathroom as well as storage for toiletries. Each bathroom is equipped with safety hand rails to ensure the highest level of safety for every resident.
We are very proud of the staff that we have apart of our Keepsake family. Each one of our houses has an exceptional house manager that oversees day to day tasks including grocery shopping, house inventory, medication related tasks, and of course caring for and working with each resident in the home. Charlie house is no exception as our house manager, Kylie Rudkin, will be in the Charlie house from day one to ensure that it is running systematically and coherently.

Kylie has been working for Keepsake Kottage since June of 2021 as a certified medication aide. Kylie has been an incredible asset to the Keepsake team as she is always devoting her work quality to providing the best patient centered care. Kylie is currently a WSU student and is studying pre-med. We are beyond thankful for her work ethic and are excited to have her join us in the Charlie house when it opens its doors.
Charlie house’s grand opening will be August 15th, 2022, as it is fully remodeled, furnished, and decorated all in preparation of the arrival of our new residents. The Keepsake Kottage Krew is beyond thrilled to have Charlie house join us, and become apart of our growing family.
